Middle School Initiative is a program that provides a free YMCA membership to middle schoolers at specific schools across the region. The goal of this program is to inspire youth to discover their passions, develop a healthy lifestyle, and gain the assets needed to avoid risky behaviors in order to succeed in school and life.

Swim Lessons at the YMCA

Swim Lessons

Tween swim lessons create a comfortable environment no matter what the student's skill level or ability. Whether you are a first-time swimmer, learning fundamental swimming skills or developing stroke refinement and endurance, the Y has a swim class for you.


Camp Shady Brook

We offer a personalized summer resident camp experience that sets us apart and brings campers back year after year to reconnect. We know no camper is one size fits all, so we offer a range of different camp experiences to ensure that everyone can have a summer to remember.

Babysitter Certification

Babysitting Certification

Babysitters will learn safety, responsibility, active play planning and how to provide leadership and guidance for younger children. This course also teaches basic knowledge of CPR and First Aid. Each participant will receive an activity starting manual, mini first aid kit, and certifications.
