Thank you for joining us for the 2nd Annual

Rocky Mountain 5K

In partnership, The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and the Colorado Springs Sports Corp want to bring you the Rocky Mountain 5K, the official 5K of the Rocky Mountain State Games! The Rocky Mountain 5K will be giving back to families through the YMCA’s life changing programs and supporting CSSC’s Rocky Mountain State Games initiatives to provide sport opportunities for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities.

NEW LOCATION!
This is an out and back mostly flat 5K run/walk that will start at America the Beautiful Park and then heads north on the Pikes Peak Greenway trail for 1.55 miles until the turn-around.

  • Each participant will receive a free pair of socks, a Lulu Lemon Swag Bag and a FREE Downtown Summer Fest Beer/Drink Coupon!
  • The top three male and female competitors in each division will bring home the gold, silver, or bronze medals.
  • Award Ceremony will be held near the DJ in Vendor Village with top 3 overall starting at 10:00 a.m. and then Division winners starting shortly after.
  • Kids 12 and under can participate in the FREE Sasquatch Shuffle 1K at 9:00 a.m. and receive a finisher ribbon.
  • Youth Scholarship are available for kids 19 under who want to participate in the 5K.
  • Dogs welcome! Furry Friends receive a dog bandana.

Furry Friends Pricing*

*Furry Friends are welcome to run with their human friend that is signed up for the 5K! Furry Friends must be leashed, current on shots, and well behaved. Human friend must pick up after furry friends. All Furry Friends and their human must run in the Furry Friend wave. Don't worry, your time starts when you cross the starting line and end when you cross the finish line. Look for the Furry Friend add on when you register.

Free Parking: There is limited free parking across from the north end of the park off Cimino Dr. Additional Parking off S. Sierra Madre St. You can use the Olympic Museum Bridge to access the park. Accessible parking spaces will be available along Cimino Dr.

Downtown Summer Fest Torch Lighting

Gear up for an unforgettable experience at Downtown Summer Fest in Olympic City USA! Kick off the festivities at our family fun 5K, followed by a special torch lighting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. near the finish line in America the Beautiful Park. Join us as Olympic & Paralympic athletes and dignitaries carry the torch across the museum bridge to mark the start of the celebration right in front of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Immerse yourself in the spirit of the Paris Olympic Games and enjoy a day filled with excitement. Learn more about Downtown Summer Fest. See you there!


Tom Falgien Youth Sports Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain 5K supports youth development and engagement for athletes of all ages and skill levels through many sport opportunities. A main goal of RMSG is to decrease barriers for athletes to participate in sport and this scholarship does just that by providing partial and full coverage of registration fees for youth athletes. Must be under age 18 to apply. More information HERE.
