Guide to view the learn and play capacity

Learn & Play provides, 2.5 hours of safe, nurturing child care per day while members utilize our YMCAs. This program is free to all embers and provides each child the opportunity to participate in themed curriculum-based activities including STEM, art, music, cooking and more!

Learn & Play attendants are certified in CPR for the Professional Caregiver, AED Procedures for the Professional Caregiver, and First Aid Procedures. All skills are re-certified annually.

Important: Y Learn & Play is available to YMCA members. Children may be dropped off and picked up by a parent or legal guardian. There is a maximum of two and a half hours per day per child and parents must remain in the facility at all times. It is the policy of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region that all children, including staff children, regardless of their age, must have their own Youth Membership or be part of a paid One-Adult Household, or Two-Adult Household in order to use the facility, including Learn & Play, and/or register for programs at member rates.

Learn & Play hours and ages vary by center. In order to ensure that every child has the best experience possible, the Y requests that children refrain from bringing electronic devices to Learn & Play. This includes mp3 players, tablets, cell phones and portable games.
