RAD events are put on by students, for students, and are a way for high school students to have fun on Friday nights. By offering an alternative to parties, RAD keeps students safe while still providing them with the social events they enjoy.
RAD is a program that was started by Palmer Ridge student Brandon Pappas to change the culture of drugs and drinking that is pervasive in many high schools across the country.
The program currently has chapters at Palmer Ridge High School and Lewis-Palmer High School.
Activities at these events include indoor soccer and volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, foosball, cornhole, board games, video games and more.

Throughout the school year RAD welcomes teens into our Teen Center, where we provide light snacks and activities for the teens. Join us on a Friday night or donate a snack or two. These kids are hungry!
A Rad Volunteer provides adult supervision with a twist - they have fun and build relationships while ensuring all youth are safe. Some examples of tasks you may do while volunteering are warming up and serving snacks, welcoming and signing in youth when they arrive, supervising different activities in the gyms, outside or upstairs in the LOFT, assisting with set up and clean up, checking the parking lot and more!
As a Rad Volunteer, you must have a great attitude, a heart for our community's youth, a warm coat (if it's cold outside), comfy shoes, and the ability to stay up late every once in a while (we will provide the coffee)!
