The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region’s strong commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the seventh consecutive time that the Y has earned this top distinction. Only 8% of Charity Navigator’s rated organizations have received a four-star rating for seven consecutive years!

Our Response

While medical professionals, first responders, military, and essential service providers are protecting our community, your YMCA is ensuring their children stay safe and supervised through our emergency childcare program. The Y is also proactively reaching out to seniors, ensuring they are connected and have access to the support and resources they need to weather social isolation. The Y needs you so we can continue to provide these critical community services. Give now and ensure the Y can continue to serve the community during this difficult time.

Tax Day Never Made Anyone Smile - Until Now

Now you can donate your Colorado income tax refund and help the Y strengthen the foundation of our community.

When you complete your Colorado state income taxes, you can now support the Y's work in the Pikes Peak Region.

This new state initiative will give you an opportunity to directly support a local nonprofit like the Y. If you get a state income tax refund, the program puts you in control of deciding if you want to donate some or all of it and choosing exactly which Colorado-registered charity will directly benefit. This new and innovative way of raising funds will support the Y's work in our community, ensuring that everyone has access to the Y's life-changing programs.

And donating all or part of your Colorado income tax refund couldn't be easier!

  1. Decide how much of your state income tax refund to donate (all or any portion of it).
  2. Enter YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and our state registration number 20023003948 in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line on your return or tax software - or just give this info to your tax preparer when you share your tax documents.

When you choose to donate from your state income tax refund, your contribution will go directly to the Y.

And, you can still take advantage of the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit when you donate your tax refund directly. Simply complete the form below and the YMCA will issue you the appropriate documentation at the end of the calendar year.

Contact the YMCA Development Office ([email protected]) if you have questions or need assistance.
