The Y is partnering with Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) to create a comprehensive, neuroplasticity-principled program that integrates the latest exercise and wellness research. PEP provides a supportive exercise environment to optimize brain recovery and repair. We utilize exercise as medicine to increase quality of life so that you can get better and stay better.

Pedaling for Parkinson's

Bicycling has tremendous benefits for people that suffer from Parkinson's. Vigorous cycling can reduce symptoms for hours and days afterwards.

Boxing with Parkinson's

Boxing with Parkinson's is a non-contact boxing based on curriculum serving individuals with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions. Through rigorous exercise, emphasizing gross motor movements, balance, core strength, and rhythm, this class provides hope, enabling people with Parkinson's disease to fight back and favorably impact their range of motion, gait, flexibility, posture activities of daily living and overall quality of life.
