The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region Donor Privacy Policy
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has been serving our community since 1878. Through membership, programs, partnerships and community involvement, the YMCA reaches thousands of individuals daily to increase Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social
Responsibility. As a leading 501(c)(3) non-profit organization we raise monies annually through our Annual Support Campaign so that we can maintain our commitment of providing opportunities to many who otherwise could not afford to take advantage
of our offerings. We depend on the generosity of our donors to help fund this campaign and to continue the great work we are doing for our community.
We value our donors and we take their privacy seriously. The Y maintains an ongoing commitment
to ensuring that our donor’s privacy is protected. We will not sell or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
Contributing individuals
and organizations are traditionally listed by name in publications such as our annual reports, but we honor requests from those who wish to be listed as Anonymous. The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region may acknowledge donors in certain printed material
such as newsletters, annual reports, brochures, press releases, event invitations or programs, stationery, solicitation letters, the organization’s website or other means of expressing appreciation for the donors’ assistance. The Y will
immediately remove a donor’s name from any recognition list upon request.
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region keeps a record of each donor's giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is also used by the Development
Department to analyze overall giving patterns for future budget projections.
