Interests and Achievements
I’m a firm believer in practicing what you preach and am constantly pushing my own comfort zones in the gym as well as outside of it. I competed in my first weightlifting competition 6 months postpartum, following weightlifting during the duration of my pregnancy. You can often find me enjoying the great outdoors with my family.
My Training Philosophy
As we age, we can get stuck in a routine but keeping our bodies constantly guessing is what keeps us feeling younger than our years. Additionally, putting our body through appropriate stress in the gym makes us better able to handle the stresses of life outside the gym. I focus on constantly varied, full-body and functional movements to increase strength and flexibility so clients grow stronger in the ways that matter most. Having personally experienced several physical set-backs and challenges, I am able to deeply connect with clients who are anxious about starting up a physical training program or those who have nerves around returning to exercise after an injury or surgery. I also believe enjoyment is important to the longevity of any exercise program — hard work can be made fun!
