Creepy Crawl 5k

The wind is howling, a chill is in the air, and Halloween is creeping closer! Gather your ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and witches for the 18th Annual Creepy Crawl 5K and Kids' Monster Dash at the hauntingly beautiful Palmer Lake Santa Fe Trailhead. Costumes are highly encouraged, and surprises await along the course as you run, walk, or crawl your way to the finish line. Best of all, your participation helps provide YMCA memberships and programs for local children, families, and individuals in our community. Register early to secure your official Creepy Crawl race shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed for participants who register on race day, so don't wait to claim your spot in this spooktacular tradition!

Directions to Palmer Lake Sante Fe Trailhead

Take I-25 to County Line Road (exit 163) and head west. Continue west for 2.5 miles and just before the railroad crossing, on the left, is the access to the parking lot and trailhead.

 

Awards

  • The top three male and female competitors in each division will bring home the gold, silver, or bronze Creepy Crawl medal.
  • Award Ceremony will be held near the finish line. Top 3 overall Male and Female 10:00 AM. Top 3 in each age category will be after the kids Dash at 10:45 AM.

Activities

9:00 a.m. Trick or Treat: Get to the Race early and head to vendor village for some trick or treating!
Other activities include- face painting, costume contest Dance off, and fun yard games!

Directions and Parking

From Colorado Springs take I-25 N. Take exit 161 CO-105. Turn Left. Turn right at the 2nd cross street to stay on CO-105 W. Follow CO-105 to Palmer Lake.

The first Parking area will be just south of the lake at the Palmer Lake Baseball Diamond. You will be able to use the pedestrian bridge over the lake to get to the park and the start/finish area.

The 2nd parking area is located on the west side of the lake across the street from O'Malley's. Participants who park here must also use the pedestrian bridge to get to the start/finish area.

The 3rd parking area is located on the west side of the lake just past the Tri-Lakes Center of the Arts at the intersection of CO-105 and Page Street.

DO NOT CROSS THE RAILROAD TRACKS. We have been told by officials that anyone who crosses the tracks on foot will be ticketed and it is a federal crime to do so.

Costumes are always encouraged for Creepy Crawl! You'll have a great time while making it possible for your friends and neighbors in need, to access membership and programs at the Y. The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region has been serving residents in our area for over 148 years by building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
