Interests and Achievements
As a human, I’m a little all over the place! I found my love for running in my last year of middle school. This passion quickly bloomed into a love for both competition and health. It guided me to my degree in college, Exercise Science. However, I would not have made it this far without my artistic focus. I quickly picked up an art minor to survive my major. I am fueled by creativity and movement! I am also incredibly focused on community and inclusion. My younger brother, Mark, was born disabled. Due to this I have always sought to create spaces for all. As a Girl Scout, I completed my Gold Award focused on removing the negative stigma around high school students with disabilities. Throughout college, I worked for a program which allowed me to support students with intellectual disabilities. I supported students in academics, socializing, and with life goals. Inclusion is a fundamental part of me, that I hope to demonstrate through the way I live.
My Training Philosophy
My main goal in personal training is to stick to my core principles of unique perspective, adaptability, individually, and inclusion. When approaching programming there’s a variety of variables to consider, I always look at it from multiple perspectives to achieve the best outcome. Adaptability and individually are huge for me. Everyone experiences exercises differently, both on a physical and mental level. Having flexibility and meeting people where they are at is my main focus. Lastly, I always aim to create an inclusive and comfortable environment. Everyone has the right to respect and dignity, ultimately we all thrive in environments in which we feel seen and heard.
