Interests and Achievements
My love of fitness kickboxing began in 2014, when I joined a class at the Clinch Academy in Frederick, Maryland. I was certified as an instructor at the Clinch a year later and taught the Women’s Fitness Kickboxing class until 2020, when my career ended abruptly due to COVID and a subsequent move home to Colorado. I’m excited to be back in the gloves again, doing what brings me so much joy! As a Colorado native, I delight in being active outside and can often be found hiking, biking, walking, or running on our trails with my husband. We’re blessed to do life with two kinda decent kids, some pretty outstanding family, friends, and coworkers, and a very loving but poorly trained black lab.
My Training Philosophy
I want our members to feel seen, heard, valued, and empowered, and I hope to be a bright spot in someone’s day. It’s important to me to meet our members where they are and support their kickboxing / boxing fitness goals by providing fun and creative high intensity interval training workouts, incorporating bag work, pad work, and resistance training as desired. I intend for People with Parkinson’s to have an additional outlet for their fitness needs, based on the clinical research that demonstrates the benefits of boxing in delaying the progression of the disease and mitigating its symptoms. I hope to support our Cancer Survivors by providing a safe place to release the grief and frustration that so often accompanies their journeys, while also motivating them to keep fighting.
