Work at Camp

At Camp Shady Brook, you’ll be doing a job that feels more like a passion, work that feels more like fun and get to know colleagues who are more like family, all in a beautiful Rocky Mountain setting. Working at camp means actually making a difference and seeing the impact you have on individual kids’ lives.

As a Camp Shady Brook employee, not only do you get to live, play, and work in the great outdoors, but you get to go on adventures, discover hidden talents, develop leadership skills, and maybe even become a child’s hero – all by just being yourself.

If you are an outgoing individual who enjoys having fun and being yourself, has a passion for working with children, loves the outdoors and believes in the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, Camp Shady Brook may be the right place for you!

We’re not going to lie: the days are long, the work can be tough and the pay is small, but the rewards are life-changing. Taking a position at Camp Shady Brook sets you up to influence hundreds of kids, many of whom need guidance and are looking for a role model. Many of our campers are at the age where they’re struggling with the growing pains of adolescence, peer pressure and bullying. You have the opportunity to help so many kids build character, find out who they are and become who they want to be. You can show them that being your honest, original self is the best way to live, and that always showing kindness and understanding to others is how they can make the world a better place.

In addition to the fantastic setting, amazing peers and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change campers’ lives, having work experience at a camp also looks good to future employers. It demonstrates your creativity, teamwork and leadership skills, as well as your ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.

Check out our application and join our dedicated team! Everyone has a unique set of gifts and abilities, and we think it would be great to have yours at Camp Shady Brook.
