YMCA Traditional Day Camp

YMCA Adventure Academy

Online Learning Support

School may be virtual but the Y is LIVE! Join us for learning and fun YMCA style! The YMCA Adventure Academy is designed with the structure of a school day but with a twist of YMCA adventure! We will provide time daily for youth to focus on online schoolwork while also engaging in interesting and challenging activities to help youth grow, learn, and be successful.

Although we will allow time for school work, we are not teachers and are not able to provide individual schoolwork support.
We ask for parent support and teamwork as we help all of our youth learn and grow!

Sample Schedule - Option 2

Based on your school districts online requirements. The Y will work with you in tailoring a schedule to meet your child's online learning needs.

Here is what we are doing to protect your family during COVID-19:

  • Staff are required to wear cloth masks per CDC guidelines and children are recommended to wear masks while at the Adventure Academy. We have few masks on hand but do ask that you provide a mask for your child if possible.
  • More frequent and thorough cleaning/disinfecting inside and outside of program hours.
  • Outdoor wellness checks for all children at sign-in that includes a parent to sign off on symptoms within the last 48 hours.
  • Sign-in and sign-out will be done outside the building, and by a staff member to reduce the amount of people in the building and touching the sign-in tablet.
  • Heightened alert for symptoms and a more stringent sick policy to avoid having sick children, or children with potential contagious symptoms in the program.
  • Smaller group sizes spread out in more program areas to reduce proximity with others.
  • Increased frequency of hand-washing for staff and children throughout the day
  • Water Bottle Fountains are the only ones available. Please send your child with a refillable water bottle.
