Teens & Tweens

All teens have potential

At the Y, a leading nonprofit in strengthening community through youth development, we work every day to help teens set and achieve personal goals. Because of the Y, more young people around the nation are taking a greater interest in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, teens learn values and positive behaviors while exploring their unique talents and realizing their personal potential. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

Jobs & Volunteering

Teens help run Tween Nights. The Teens learn honesty, caring, respect and responsibility while working side by side with staff members in assuring that the Tween Nights are always safe and fun. Teens have the opportunity to gain volunteer hours along with trainings that help develop life long skills. It helps them gain an understanding of basic skills needed for those first job opportunities down the road.

All volunteers must first apply for the position of being a volunteer by filling out a Teen Volunteer Application which can be obtained at our Welcome Center. An interview will be set up and your teen will need to provide 3 references.
