Moving for better Balance! - FREE

Date: Tuesdays & Thursdays, September 29 through December 10

This is a 10 week evidence-based fall prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi to help those improve their balance and increase their confidence completing everyday activities without the fear of falling. Initial assessments and all classes will be held virtually and will not be held on Thursday, November 26th in observance of Thanksgiving Day.

The Basilica of St. Peter's Rome: Have they found the bones of St. Peter?

This presentation presents facts, and includes many views of the lavish artwork of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome--noted as the world's largest church building. It is historically considered to be over the site of the burial of St. Peter. An archaeological research project begun in 1939 revealed the bones of a man many believe to be those of St. Peter.

Based on a play by Tracey Letts, August: Osage County features a stacked cast that includes Julia Roberts, Merel Streep, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margo Martindale, and Chris Cooper, among others. We can't say its a happy family reunion (or even specifically a Thanksgiving one, though there is a big meal), but there's lots of acting chops on display. We will see you halfway through the month over Zoom and talk all about them, movie snacks encouraged!
