Response_CSSC_COVID

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, please know we are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to send updates as needed. We are committed to maintaining a healthy environment and supporting the health of our community. As of today, we have made the decision to close the Colorado Springs Senior Center through Thursday, April 30.

We understand that many patrons rely on Silver Key for meals. Beginning on Monday, March 23, each patron may pick up five frozen meals from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. From March 23 on, meals (only frozen meals available) will be given out ONLY on Mondays (March 23, March 30, April 6, April 13, April 20, and April 27). Each patron may pick up five frozen meals each Monday. If you miss the meals on Monday the Senior Center will have extra on hand. Give us a call if you are in need.

You may drive to the Senior Center to pick up your meal, where Silver Key will have a table in the entryway. When you reach the table, they will place your meal on the table and step back six feet, allowing you to pick up your meal. Please be careful to maintain six feet of space between yourself and anyone else in line. If you need the meals delivered to you please call 719-955-3400.

Although the building will be closed, you can call our phone line (719-955-3400) this is for anyone who is feeling isolated or afraid, or just needs to talk to someone. Please leave a message with your request and a Senior Center staff member will return your call. We are eager to speak with you. We understand that the Senior Center is a community hub, and we remain dedicated to providing community in any way we are able.

For those who were signed up for any paid classes, we will be postponing them. Our amended schedule is as follows:

Amended Program Schedule

May 11 - Summer Class Schedules Available & Registration is Open

May 15 - Day Trip Registration

May 25 - CLOSED - In observance of Memorial Day

June 5 - Spring Session Ends

June 8 - Summer Sessions Start
